What is Klinefelter SyndromeKlinefelter syndrome is a genetic disorder where a male individual has an extra X sex chromosome. This extra X makes the individual have more feminine characteristics. This may include the development of breasts, low testosterone, infertility, a small penis, or intellectual disabilities. Although, Kinefelter is a genetic disorder, it does not pose a significant threat to the individual. Usually treatment is for the syndrome is to improve self esteem, but also used to treat for infertility.

Where is Klinefelter most easily identifiable? |
Physical characteristics of Klinefelter can be seen in abdomen and the breasts. Males with the extra X chromosome tend to have increased breast tissue, greater fat tissue near the belly and wider hips. They also tend to be taller with weaker muscle tissues. In general, the extra X makes males individuals have female characteristics.

Symptoms of KlinefelterDue to lower testosterone levels in people with Klinefelter have a lower sex drive and lower energy levels. This also means less facial and body hair for the individual. The intellectual development of a person with Klinefelter may also be slowed, but not significantly. The testes are also affected, making most people with Klinefelter unable to father a child (infertility). Here is a list of possible symptoms.
